01. Your living space tells you about yourself and mine is a complete mess. I spent an hour just trying to clean my closet area, and my room is still a category 5 Tornado. Doesn’t help that there’s tons of dust everywhere, so now I’ve got myself a sinus headache. Ugh.. my own fault.

02. Applied for a Salesforce Benefits Analyst job. And.. rejected. Oh well, at least I haven’t officially started a real job hunt yet, but it would have been nice. I’m still not ready to plunge into job hunt mode just yet.

Love

01. Philly/NYC in April with Milktoast! Vegas in April possibly with seester! Vegas in May for #BiSC with seester again!

02. Yoga + Zumba = soreness. It hurts so good, and it’s free. I have motivation to go because my parents actually go to some other classes offered, and my seester is now going to yoga + zumba. I have no excuse not to go! Also that bridesmaid dress is being shipped.. *eeek excitement/fear!!

03. The good side of attempting to clean my room is purging. Feels good to get rid of stuff. I’ve got a donate bag, garbage bag, and recycle bag. Speaking of purge, does anyone want to buy a size 8, never-been-worn, Poetic Licence Peeptoe Pump ‘Summer Bloom’ in Mint for $80 obo? I read reviews and bought a half size smaller from their recs, but the shoes are too tight. Message me!

04. Quitting job and have such a great support system! Hanging out with my parents. Hanging out with family and friends. Unwinding!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Back to the title of this post.. I’m excited because I get to relax, eat hella food, meet his niece, and possibly meet his newest nephew (welcomed into the world as of Sunday!). I think they live further away though. We will also be taking advantage of being on the east coast, and hitting up the concrete jungle as well. We still need to figure out accommodations in NYC.. But NYC means:

53rd and 6th Ave Halal Cart!!!

I would definitely love some recommended must-eats.. cheap-eats, so please let me know!! Momofuku, Crif Dogs, and Chikalicious are on my list already.

Anyways, I’m torn.. Just like how I feel about the SF Niners/ NY Giants upcoming NFC Championship game this Sunday! I’m torn because duh, I’m a native SFer, so therefore I love the SF Giants, but I only watch football when it’s NY Giants games because the bf watches it. Thus far, I’ve only kept up with the Giants, and have been cheering them on. Now that they’re playing against each other for a chance at the superbowl. I’m torn. I want to cheer for both. We are all not winners. I digress.

Back to BISC!!

Reasons why I should go:
1. Hang out with my bff, aka my seester, in Vegas.
2. Meet new people, new adventures, and be inspired.
3. Motivation to keep my blog current.
4. All inclusive. Almost.
5. I did leave the company and still got my xmas bonus.
6. Roadtrip with my seester.

One of my childhood friends is getting married! I’ve known D since middle school, and she’s been the kindest, most genuine person I’ve ever met or will ever meet. I’ve been so wrapped up in my own mess, that when I stopped and looked around, I realized that I had all this free time to help with planning. This is my first time being a bridesmaid, and I feel like I’ve already been a decent contributor, or at least hope so. I’ve been pinning away and found great do-it-yourself sites like Love and Lavender and ‘i do’ it yourself. Amazing!! I’ve bookmarked them for future reference.. hah! If that ever happens.

So mostly it’s all fun/excitement except about the title of this post. Maybe this is the only worry. I’m not trying to increase per say. More like decrease my arm flab, not that increasing my bust would be terrible. So for someone who generally doesn’t have resolutions, it’ll be fun times ahead. We actually found a free weekly Yoga and Zumba class that’s close by. It’s been a blast so far and I feel better about myself. WIN WIN!

In other news.. WTF!? How will I watch my non-pirated shows from non-Showtime or non-HBO? 

I lost myself somewhere. Maybe I never knew who I was, but I didn’t like who I became. Being not treated with respect and allowing that to happen is the worst thing I ever let myself live through.. or slowly die through. I wouldn’t call that living. I couldn’t sleep, I had no appetite. I lived in constant fear. I loved the idea of working to live, and not living to work, but it turned into something else completely. Here I was searching to buy a home. MAJOR investment, life-changing event, and I knew I emotionally couldn’t handle it anymore. I realized that I should be able to work to live and live to work if I absolutely enjoyed my job. This 40 hours per week turned into 24/7 of fear/anxiety.

I finally took the leap and quit my job. It’s been the scariest thing I’ve ever done. I’m so thankful for my mother. She saw how unhappy I was, and told me that it wasn’t worth it. I guess that’s what I needed. Some reassurance that I wasn’t crazy. Some say it was a weak thing to do. “Toughen up and just search for a job, and then move on,” they would say. 

I had nightmares and still couldn’t sleep for two weeks after my last day. 

I’m scared of what’s to come and figuring out what I want to do, but at least I know that I took that leap. 

For those of you who know me (read: ALL of you who read this ), you probably know that I absolutely love “Kash”, the googley-eyed stack of money you could be saving with Geico. Those ads stare back. At first, I didn’t get it, but now it’s one of those “it’s so damn ridiculous, it’s awesome.”

Anyways, shortly after taking this photo, we came across another one of these billboards near the Russian Hill area. And, yes, I can’t help humming that song. But this time, instead of humming, I whispered to @milktoast, “He’s watching me…,” just as two people shuffled by.

And you probably guessed it.. One was blind and using a walking stick, while the other person was holding onto his arm.
