Stealthypoo’s Meatballz and Sauce

After a day of eating out, and soaking in the sun, I wanted to make a nice meal, and also add some much needed items (soy sauce and oyster sauce) to M’s pantry. I still forgot to get sugar. -_-” I decided on giving meatballs a shot, but I didn’t look up a recipe before going to the market, so I had to make do with what was in the pantry. It turned out pretty good, so I’ve decided to share this simple and tasty recipe.

{ingredients}

Meatballz:
1 lb. Ground Beef
2 tsp. Soy Sauce
1 Egg
1 Hot Dog Bun (crumbled) – or any bread crumbled, but this was laying around.
2 tsp. Cilantro flakes (fresh minced, if you have it)
1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Ground Pepper
1/4 cup grated cheese (pref. Parmesan)
2 cloves minced garlic
1 cup EV Olive Oil
2 squirts of Sriracha

Sauce:
Half Onion diced
2 tomatoes, seeded and chopped into 2 inch cubes
1 can diced tomatoes

{instructions}
Place ground beef in a large mixing bowl and pour in all the ingredients minus egg/oil/and bread crumbs. Mix together preferably by hand. Add crumbled bread, beaten egg, and cup of oil. Mix together by hand until the all the bread is combined with meat. Roll into 1-1/2 inch balls.

In a nonstick sauce pan ( I used my trusty 3qt Calphalon Non-stick Saute Pan) over medium heat, brown your batch of meatballz. Don’t touch them for 2 minutes. Flip then over to brown the other side, for another 2 minutes, creating a crust. Set aside the meatballz.

There should be oil/meat grease in your sauce pan. Don’t toss that amazeballs flavorful meatgrease! Simmer your diced onions until browned. Pour in canned tomatoes and chopped tomatoes, and return to medium heat. Cover with lid.

(Start making pasta around now…)

When chopped tomatoes are softened, stir in your meatballz. Return to low heat, cover with lid for another 7 minutes and turn off heat.

Done! Pour those suckers over your pasta. Nom away! Those meatballz should be tender and flavorful. Add Parmesan on top for more cheesiness.

{serving size: 4}

Share your fav meatballz recipe! Or give it a shot, and let me know how it goes.. :)

      I’ve tried your mean burgers. They are full of delicious and mean! I feel like meatloaf, meatballs and burgers generally are made the same way.. only in different form..

Leave a note! I love hearing from you!
